Big Emotions
I am a mother of 3 incredible adult children and after many years of living in survival mode and generational trauma, I realise the greatest gift I could have given them was to learn to understand and regulate my own emotions and to be aware of my unconscious patterns.
And that is how Big Emotions began, together with my love of helping children, ECO Modern Essential Oils and Crystals.
My intention is to be able to help guide parents and create awareness of emotional regulation.
For the last 20 years I have also worked closely with children, some with learning needs, but most with emotional regulation needs. Not being able to name what they were feeling and therefore not understanding why they were reacting or how to regulate their Big Emotions.
Essential Oils have been a huge part of my life. I started using them as an alternative to chemicals for cleaning and air fresheners, but now they are my go
to for everything especially emotions, healing and health.
When you inhale essential oils the aromatic molecules travel through two routes. Down into your lungs these molecules easily pass into the blood stream where they are carried throughout your whole body and up into the limbic system in the brain. The limbic system is a primitive part of the brain and is associated with memory and emotional response. This is why certain aromas can produce powerful memories and emotions within us and how essential oils can help enhance our emotional state.
