Reub Goldberg Brewing Machine
Welcome to your new local!
Welcome to Reub Goldberg Brewing Machine – a nano-brewery in Tarrawanna producing fresh, local, independent craft beer. With easing restrictions we are happy to announce that the taproom is open again! So come on down and join us plus a bunch of locals for a few cold ones fresh poured from the tank.
We run a swap’n’go growler system – once you’ve finished your growler, you just bring it in and switch it out for a freshly filled one. Or if you prefer, we’ll deliver it to your door, free of charge! Just leave the empties out somewhere safe and easy to find, and we’ll swap them out for full ones… just like the old milk run, but better cos it’s beer.
You can swap up and down between the 1.5L and 2L sizes too – just pay for the beer fill.
Hot Tip: Wednesday 5pm(ish) when we release the Weekly Growler List is the best time to score a 2L as they are very limited!
Check our delivery section for your area info, we hope to see your faces from a socially decent distance soon.
Safe as:
With all the extra precautions necessary to prevent the spread of COVID-19 we thought we’d better explain our growler process from start to finish so you can be assured of it’s safety. Beer, aside from being the best beverage, is in and of itself sanitary product. Part of the brewing process is the boil – we boil for a minimum 75 minutes which will kill all microorganisms – and from then on the beer becomes part of a closed sanitary loop for all transfers and storage, never even exposed to oxygen.
Our Growlers are cleaned thoroughly – a hot soapy scrub at 85 degrees celsius, fresh water rinse and an acid base sanitiser bath, any visibly dirty return growlers get extra treatment (please rinse them straight after use, that’s all you need to do!). The fill process is via a counter-pressure filler which is a closed system driven by sterile carbon dioxide gas. Once sealed the growler is submerged in a peroxyacetic acid & hydrogen peroxide blend – double the sanitiser! – and placed on a clean shelf in the fridge. At all stages during cleaning and filling a mask and gloves are worn by the brewer, and any shifting of growlers is done by gloved hands. This means that by the time it gets to you the only person who has touched it is YOU, and the deliciously fresh, locally brewed beer is safe as. Bloody marvellous eh? Cheers everybody!
