We’re so lucky to have plenty of fantastic farm stay accommodation right across the Illawarra.
Here’s our pick of definite must visits for your next local break or if you’re hosting friends and fam from the cities.
1 :: Jamberoo Valley Farm Stay + Cottages
A working permaculture farm with luxury cottages and killer views. Oh and there’s a Swedish hot tub – boom!
2 :: Schottlander’s Wagyu GERRINGONG
Collect your eggs for brekkie and help yourself to the herb garden and veggie patch at this farm stay. A four bedroom home perfect for families, you can also ride around the farm on the gator – fun!
3 :: Mt Hay Retreat BERRY
Perched high up on the rolling green hills of Mt Hay [but still just a few minutes from Berry], you’ll feel like you’re a world away from anywhere really! We can feel the stress washing off us already…oh, and we LOVE this Instafamous swing.
4 :: Britlyn Willows BERRY
We love a bit of glamping action and Britlyn Willows offers up a fab combo of glamping and farm stay thanks to it’s position in amongst the green paddocks just a short walk from Berry. We also love a bit of outdoor shower action too!
5 :: Dovecote GERRINGONG
For something super luxe, head to Dovecote which is perched on 150 acres of farmland overlooking Werri Beach. Contemporary and lush with an awesome swimming pool, fab fire pit and stunning, stunning views.
6 :: Glasshouse B&B DARKES FOREST
A beautiful modern couples getaway on Blue Gum Farm, have breakfast on the deck overlooking the dam before exploring the farm and the amazing wildlife. And there’s a hammock that has afternoon nap written ALLLLL over it.
7 :: Willow Farm BERRY
Pull on the gumboots and explore this beautiful farm. Pick your own fruit, fish in the creek, sit around the fire pit with a wine while the sun sets and cook up something delicious in the beautiful farmhouse kitchen. The farmhouse accommodates up to ten people which makes it a great spot for a getaway for a group of friends.
8 :: Ocean Farm GERRINGONG
Another luxurious coastal getaway, you’ll find Ocean Farm on one of the last working farms on the coastline of Gerringong. It’s hard to pick the best bit about it, but we reckon the views from the swimming pool are pretty hard to beat.
9 :: Greyleigh KIAMA
Originally a working dairy farm, this historic homestead is set on 200 acres. The Homestead and the Guest House accommodates up to 16 people – such a great spot for a big family gathering or special occasion!
10 :: Bundara Farm BERRY
Tucked in between Berry and Seven Mile Beach on 14 acres, there’s three accommodation options offered up here. The large homestead and two gorgeous cottages all beautifully styled and with loads of space for large groups and families. And they have hairy coo’s!
