It seems locals like to shop, brunch, take the puppers out and catch up with friends + fam over a bevvie or two.

It’s been a wonderful year here in the Illawarra.

After a few let’s say, interesting years, it’s been incredible to see local businesses thriving again and loads of our awesome events and celebrations up and running with full force. We’ve loved sharing the places to go, the people to meet, and the amazing stories of the Illawarra with you all.

Of course, the end of the year is a good time to get retrospective and have a look at what you loved reading about on The Fold.

To be fair the Illawarra has some of the best breweries on the coast so we totes know why this one made the list.

We probs needed to burn off some of that good eatin’ and drinkin’ with this one.

A popular bush-walk that delights bikers, hikers and even horse-riders. It was a fun one for us to explore too.

Being one of the most popular walks around town, this guide had to make the cut.
With breathtaking views pretty much the whole way and the reward of a bevvie or meal in charming Kiama at the end, we know why this is a firm fave among locals and visitors alike.

10 // A Guide To The Festivals + Major Annual Events In The Illawarra

The Illawarra is just built for festivals and events, right?
