Where to place your vote in the Illawarra in the 2025 Federal Government Election on Saturday 3 May.
Australian residents are due to vote in the upcoming Federal Government Election 2025 on Saturday 3 May.
Residents of the Illawarra fall into one of three electoral divisions – Cunningham, Whitlam and Gilmore . If you’re not sure which electoral divisions you fall into, best to check you can check with the Australian Electoral Commission here.
There are a number of ways you can vote either in advance or on the day by heading to a polling booth.

POSTAL VOTE
You are eligible to apply for a postal vote if you are unable to get to a polling place on election day.

Ballot papers must be completed and witnessed on or before election day.
To make sure your vote is counted, return your ballot papers to the AEC within 13 days of the election.
PRE-POLLING
If you can’t get to a polling place on election day, you can vote at an early voting centre.

TELEPHONE ASSISTED VOTING
Telephone assisted voting will be available during the early voting period and on election day for electors who are blind or have low vision.

Polling booths will be open from 8am to 6pm.
