Ross Transport is a family owned and operated business that is celebrating their 45th year anniversary in 2020 and is now operating with three generations of family members. Ross Transport was established in 1975 with 1 truck that was operated by Reg Ross and Frances Ross. Since then we have grown into a very strong fleet of trucks that currently includes 60 prime movers and 110 trailers with a range of transport options such as tippers, truck and dogs, tautliners, flat-tops, extendable and drop deck trailers, rough terrain forklift that can do brick deliveries and used on construction sites.
Frances Ross received the Don Watson Memorial award at the Australian Trucking Association awards in 2018. This award was presented to her for giving conspicuous service to the Australian trucking industry. This is an incredible achievement for her and we are all so proud. True Ross is following in her Grandmothers footsteps, starting her own business as well as working very hard for the family business. True has recently been appointed as a Board of Director with Transport Women Australia Limited, which is a wonderful achievement.
Alan and True Ross thought that a wonderful way to share their family bond and recognise the contribution women have had to Ross Transports success, would be to design a special PINK truck. This truck was named “TRUELY FRANTASTIC”. A playful blend of Frances and True’s name. We are very proud of this truck and what is resembles for our business.
Our yard is large enough to handle all of our fleet and more which also includes our own workshop with highly trained and qualified mechanics that regularly service and maintain our fleet. We have just done major renovations to our yard and workshop to make it better than ever! Our yard is big enough for full access for b-doubles to drive through and around the whole yard.
