‘Physie’ is a professionally structured dance syllabus developed by a nationally recognized dance school called Bjelke-Petersen (BjP).
Physie is FUN and will keep you FIT with a combination of exercises, ballet, jazz, stretching and Pilates.
The syllabus is choreographed to develop an improvement in strength, posture, grace, confidence, co-ordination and flexibility.
Additional benefits of Physie include friendship, sportsmanship, self discipline, balance and music appreciation.
What class will my child be in?
Each student attends class in the age that she will be on the 31st of August of that year.
What do we wear to Physie?
A leotard or shorts and a T-shirt can be worn to practice.
Second hand leotards for girls and ladies can be purchased from the club when available from our second- hand clothing pool.
Club t-shirts and jackets can also be purchased through the club.
Competitions require a leotard or performance wear with the BjP logo on it.
New leotards can be ordered during a try-on day throughout the year or ordered direct from Danz Design online.
The approximate cost of a leotard is $60-$80.
Preschool children must have an adult present within the foyer during class time as the teacher is unable to leave the class to assist with toileting etc.
Throughout the year there will be open days for family members to see their child’s progress.
Parents are asked to drop children off shortly prior to the commencement of class and pick them up promptly afterwards.
Location- All classes held in Dapto Ribbonwood Centre.
