I live in Wollongong/ Wodi Wodi Country on the New South Wales south coast of Australia, working locally in my community, as well as online in the big wide world.
I’m the mother of two small children, with my first pregnancy and birth being the catalyst for the change I want to see and be in the world now. My motherhood journey has taught me I need to access my voice and speak up more loudly for my own rights and the rights of other women.
I am here to carry out the work my daughter sparked in me and although I have a gentle nature, there’s a rage inside that seeks to fiercely protect mothers and babies.
I have experienced an intervention-heavy, medicalised hospital birth, where I felt like just another number in the system, rather than the pregnant goddess I was (we all are). I was set adrift in a fragmented model, meeting at least 30 different care providers and subject to outdated policies and practices along the way.
With a commitment to the inner work of pregnancy and my own healing, 3 years later I went on to have a redemptive physiological home birth where I felt connected to my body and baby, as well as all women everywhere, roaring my son into this world while being quietly witnessed by midwives and birth keepers.
I have:
– Doula services
– Womens’ circles and workshops
– Business mentoring
