The Marker by Gillian Dinh is a creative studio based in the Wollongong/Illawarra region, formed by emerging Australian lettering artist, Gillian Dinh. In 2015, Gillian launched her solo studio following her obsession with the strength and power behind words, particularly those expressed in hand-written form. The Marker began as a small local business creating custom invitations suites and art prints, and from there her business flourished.

With a background in Visual Arts and Interior Design, Gillian combines her love for both creative industries by utilising her hand-lettering skills to enhance spaces through signage and wall mural creations. The Marker’s portfolio includes a variety of works from stationery design, logos and business branding to wall murals, sign-writing and creative workshops.

The Marker is committed to creating bespoke art for her clients from start to finish. By incorporating hand-lettering, Gillian believes this unique labour of love allows the end product to portray authenticity and sentiment.

Whilst most of her days are spent in studio or on site covered in paint, Gillian loves to cook and enjoys feasting on seafood, dumplings and antipasto with her nearest and dearest. She’ll also never turn down the opportunity to boogie on the dance floor!
